Lake Geneva Local writes book on Wisconsin Historical Tourist Attraction

A fascinating history in postcards of the famous Wisconsin Dells

Due in part to the fine photography of H.H. Bennett, the
Wisconsin Dells have become one of the most popular Midwestern tourist attraction;
thus it comes as no shock that Bonnie Jean Alton would dedicate her first book
to them. Alton lives in the Geneva
Township
in Wisconsin and has been intensely interested in Native American
culture and the environment, making her subject of the Wisconsin Dells a
perfect opportunity for her to explore this interesting region and its rich
history. The Wisconsin Dells are
comprised of a five mile span along the Wisconsin River, featuring famed rock
formations including Baby Grand Piano, Cold Water Canyon, and Stand Rock.

Alton’s book will be part of an Arcadia Publishing’s “Postcard
History” series, which will feature a collection of postcards and a written
history of the Wisconsin Dells region.  Bonnie Jean Alton will appear at J Marc
Graphics in Lake Geneva Wisconsin on July 14 and 15 from 12-3 p.m. to sign your
copy of “Wisconsin Dells.”
