Will the new Flat Iron Park plans Impact Lake Geneva Traffic?

Lake Geneva Wisconsin Beautification Committee to conduct possible traffic study

Possible plans to make Flat Iron Park adjoining the
lakefront are being mulled over by the Lake Geneva Beautification
Committee. The question they want to
know is whether closing Wrigley Drive between Center and Broad Streets on
weekends or for special events would be a plausible option. In order to glean the possible impact this
will have on traffic and the public opinion, the Beautification Committee would
like to conduct a traffic study; several Lake Geneva property owners have
offered to donate the funding needed. However, it is still in question whether the time and money should be
offered to this traffic study if the public may be downright against the idea
in the first place.

The full Flat Iron Park plan involves the park extending all
the way to the lakefront with distinctive pavement where the current roadway
stands; the road would be closed permanently or only on weekends of
events.  Additional plans include
creating a pathway with abundant landscaping to offer a subtle and elegant
contrast between nature and urban living.
