Walworth New Development “Covered Bridges” Not Approved by Town Board, but Might Still have a Future

The plan will be resummited for Town Board Approval after some adjustments in the agreement

The
results of Walworth’s Town meeting last night were less than favorable for the current
plan for a new development in Walworth Wisconsin. However, they would consider the plan with a
few adjustments. Developer Rober Clemen’s
remains optimistic and indicated to Lake Geneva Regional News that he feels
they are “pretty close,” to a reasonable compromise.

Some
of the suggested changes that Clemen’s was willing to consider include
switching some duplexes to single family homes near the North Walworth road and
vice versa near the South Shore Drive; also proposed is a limit of seven new
homes per year and a change in the building permit agreement.  Thus, the plan for a new development will be
under adjustments and presented again to the Town Board in the near future.
