Genoa City Village’s New No Litter Law makes Property Owners Responsible for Keeping things Clean
Under the new ordinance residents and delivery persons will be held responsible for a clean environment
A new ordinance to eliminate litter in the Village of Genoa
City Wisconsin places responsibility on residents and those that deliver
printed materials. Under this new
ordinance those that deliver newspapers must deliver to the doorstep or porch
and if left at an entranceway of a building must be secured so it will not blow
away and create litter on the streets. Also
in this new no litter law it is not permitted for property owners or occupants
to leave any print materials unattended on any public street or area.
The law will be enforced and violation of this ordinance
will result in a written order by the Village Board for the violator to comply within
a specified timeperiod. It is hoped that
making the no littering law more specific that residents and businesses will
take it seriously and lend a hand in keeping their property and the village
clean and welcoming.
