Lake Geneva City Council approves rezoning for Mirbeau-Hummel Development plans

Despite opposition to the development plans, the Planning Commission voted for rezoning

Last week’s Lake Geneva Planning Commission meeting was in
favor for rezoning to move the Mirbeau-Hummel development plans forward. Despite the opposition to the plan by some community members, the vote
was in favor of rezoning and Mirbeau-Hummel’s general plan for the property. The issue must still be voted on by the City
Council, but things are looking up for these developmental plans in Lake Geneva
WI.

Mirbeau-Hummel’s general plans include 882 residential units
and 100-room inn and spa, plus a winery on a 710-acre site that was annexed to
the city in 2005 from the town of Linn.
