Fontana has a number of projects to beautify the village for 2008

New construction and developments are planned for 2008 in
Fontana Wisconsin. Although there are
still a few obstacles in the way, some major improvements are slated to begin
this year. 

The Mill House Pavilion project is expected to begin in
March and be completed in May; this project will include reconstructing the old
Montague-Douglass Mill House using some of the original beams and trolley
tracks to preserve its history and make it usable again. The Pavillion is located across the street
from Fontana Elementary school. 

Other project plans for 2008 include a pedestrian path
connecting Walworth and Fontana, the Porter Court Plaza project (which includes
a fountain, walking paths and a garden at Porter Court), and a new fence along
the municipal beach.
