Geneva and Linn WI will Look to Improving the Water Quality of Lake Como and Geneva Lake
In an effort to improve the quality of Lake Como and Geneva Lake, these two towns will decide on whether to install sewers
The towns of Geneva and Linn will soon need to make a
decision on whether to install sewers in a 2,625 acre area this year. In the December hearing of the project, a
little less than 300 people came to listen to the plan which is expected to
improve the quality of Lake Como and Geneva Lake; another informational session
will be held on March 15th of this year, and depending on how much
support the project receives, it may begin to be a reality this year. According to the Lake Geneva Regional News
online, the area in question covers the south shore of Lake Como and the North
Shore of Geneva Lake.
However, it isn’t as easy as just approving the project for
it to move forward, the proposal must also include whether a new sanitary
district will manage the system or if it will be done by the Linn Town, as well
as other solutions on how to execute the proposal for the goal of improving
water quality in the two lakes.
