Brookwood School District Finalizing Plans for Addition and Renovation Project
Genoa City WI's Brookwood Schools will be undergoing updates to keep residents' children safer and offer more space to learn in
In November of 2007, Brookwood School District in Genoa City
Wisconsin received approval for a $5.175 million renovation project for two of
its schools. Recently the Lake Geneva Regional
news reported that they are busy bidding out for the work and finalizing plans
for the project as of late. The project
will include the addition of 15,000 sq.ft. to Brookwood Middle School and
updating the security at Brookwood Elementary School.
From January to March, the plan will be finalized in details
so that change orders during the project will be less of an issue; thus,
keeping the development costs down. Construction is expected to start in May which will include the addition
of new classrooms at Brookwood Middle school and a parking lot. Brookwood’s District Administrator, Bill
Lehner, expects the entire renovation and improvements to be finished by September
of 2009.
