Filing Accident reports and traffic violations will take seconds with the TraCS electronic data collection system

Walworth County Wisconsin’s sheriff’s department will be saving
time this year with their upgrade to TraCS. TraCS is an electronic data collection system that will make it possible
for officers to automatically obtain driver and vehicle information to load
into a ticket or report form. The new
bar codes on driver’s licenses and vehicle registrations works into this system
to make writing out tickets faster and with less paper work. But it isn’t just a more efficient tool for
Police officers, it also saves times for the violator who can be on their way
quicker without having to be delayed further with the written police report. And for those that are unfortunately involved
in an accident it will make filing the accident report faster through the
internet.
