Genoa City Village Board Approves Updated Park and Open Space Plan

The approval of a plan for updating is the first step, coming up with the funds needed is the next

With the growth of Genoa City, the Village Board approved an
updated park and open space plan
on March 13th to offer more
recreational choices for the community. The problem they now face is finding the funding to carry out the plan,
which cannot wholly come from the small budget allotted to the Park Commission
annually. Although there aren’t any
expected updates this year, the Park Commission needed a plan in place in order
to apply for grants to fund the endeavor, and to come up with fund raisers.

In addition, with a plan in place to work off of, the Park
Commission can also receive feedback on different updates and find out how the
community feels about the changes.
