Redevelopment in Lake Geneva WI plans are Moving Forward

Redevelopment plans are on their way in Lake Geneva Wisconsin’s downtown. For those residents and visitors of Lake Geneva who spend time in downtown and had to see a few vacant business buildings taking away from the look of the area, improvements are coming soon.

The old Burger King building on Highway 50, which has been vacant since the fall of 2005 is finally being taken down. The Lake Geneva city council approved developers Heartland Midwest’s request to build a new Burger King farther back on the property; the building will also be surrounded by improved landscaping to fit within the country feel of the city. Construction is expected to start later this year.

Other redevelopment plans in Lake Geneva include revamping an old car dealership lot into a bank with other retail stores to add to Geneva Square’s shopping center experience.
