A Lake Geneva WI Lakefront Annual Event has a Different Spin this Year

Due to ongoing construction on Highway 50, the village fireworks will be done a little differently this year. The annual Lions Club Corn and Brat Roast event on August 9th usually included fireworks which were lit on the shoreline by the beach of Geneva Lake, but this year they will be shot off of a barge on the lake instead; these plans were changed in hopes of not jamming up the streets due to spectators using Geneva Street as a detour.

However, the entire lakefront will be open for viewing the display and using the barge to fire them will offer more areas of view than in previous years; but ‘traditionalist’ won’t have to worry about a change in custom, as village officials expect to be back shooting them off the shoreline next year.
