What’s new with the Real Estate Market in Lake Geneva?

We sure didn’t need to see those big snowflakes flying through the air here in Lake Geneva on Monday afternoon.  We’ll take a nice long extended Indian summer, over the beginning of the colder weather, although many people find a lot of exciting things to do in the winter season.  It is hard to comprehend how we have become accustomed to wild daily swings in the stock market, both up and down, over the last few weeks.  The talk this week is of the Fed meeting again and another anticipated discount rate reduction.   I can’t begin to understand the complexities of some of these moves, other than conclude that the actions are a positive step toward trying to right the ship and get things back on track in the financial world.  With a week to go, I think everyone is ready for the end of all the political ads and bickering we’ve been subjected to from the talking heads on the T.V. and radio news shows.  These certainly are interesting times we are living in today.  From the real estate perspective we have seen a fair amount of Buyers still in the market and looking, in spite of all the uncertainty in the air.  The fact remains that this is a very good time for a Buyer to be in the market with rates at very affordable levels historically and many lenders in the area continue to assure us that they have very adequate amounts of money to lend to Buyers with good credit and some form of a down payment.  There is good selection of options to choose from in the various types of property and price ranges.  Our job remains to get that word out and we’ll continue to try to do so over the next several weeks.  Regardless of the outcome of the election and whether our particular candidate wins or loses, just getting the election behind us should be a good thing for showing people that the sun will still come up and life will go on.  If you have any questions, you can go to www.LakeGenevaProperty.com or send an Email to Bob@LakeGenevaProperty.com or call Bob Webster of Keefe Real Estate at 262-348-3233.
