Lake Geneva WI Residents invited to Voice Opinions on Proposed Budget 2009

Next Monday, Lake Geneva WI residents will have the opportunity to offer their opinions about the proposed 2009 budget for the city.  Lake Geneva Regional News reported that, the proposed budget includes a 5.46 percent increase in expenditures, and revenues is proposed to be an estimated $5.53 tax rate per $1,000 of assessed value; this is an increase from years before and would mean that a home owner with a home valued at $200,000 would need to pay $1,106 in city taxes.  Nevertheless, it is important to remember that the actual tax rate is not yet available due to further valuation information that needs to be reviewed.
