Delavan Wisconsin Subdivision plans move forward

July 3rd, 2008 Bob Webster Posted in Delavan Wisconsin real estate No Comments »

The Walworth Wisconsin County Zoning Agency recently approved developer Robert Clemen’s request to rezone and receive a conditional use permit for his Covered Bridges subdivision project. Clemen’s will still need to receive approval from the Walworth County Board before the rezone request is final, but this first approval is encouraging. The original plan Clemen’s presented was not well-received, but his revised version is viewed by county officials as being more in the scope of Smart Growth decisions for the county.

The Covered Bridges subdivision will include about 76 units and be situated in a rural area of Delavan Wisconsin, making use of the country setting as inspiration for their conservational approach to the community.

Delavan WI’s Proposed Covered Bridges Subdivision Plans Changed

June 5th, 2008 Bob Webster Posted in Delavan Wisconsin real estate 1 Comment »

If you were wondering what became of the Walworth County Wisconsin proposed Covered Bridges subdivision project, these plans are still in progress, though they have been revised a little. Robert Clemen, the developer for this originally 202 unit development in Delavan Wisconsin, received approval from the town’s Plan Commission on plans to cut this amount in half; the new plan will include only 76 units, with 30 of these being single family homes. The development will be in the northern half of the property which was not zoned as farmland, while the southern half is still being leased to a farmer.

Nevertheless, Robert Clemen’s new Covered Bridges subdivision plans will need to be recommended for approval by the Town Board, be accepted by the county, and received another approval from the Plan Commission for a conditional use permit. If permitted, this Delavan Wisconsin subdivision will feature a conservational approach, preserving the natural environment of the area and giving the community a rustic charm.
