New Restaurant Offering a Great Way for residents old and new to Enjoy Lake Geneva Summers

Hemingway's restaurant in Lake Geneva seeks to offer visitors outside seating

One of Lake Geneva’s new bar and restaurants, Hemingway’s,
plans on accommodating 120 customers on their outside deck.  This outside seating must to be approved by
the Town Board and Hemingway’s must receive a conditional permit; the permit
must be renewed every three years by the owner or it will be withdrawn.

Nevertheless, the town planning commission is on Hemingway’s
side as they recommended that the town board approve the request last
week. In this process of receiving the
permit needed to have outside seating, the August 13th town board
meeting must go in Hemingway’s favor and have the Town Board members recommending
the permit to Walworth county officials; these county officials have the final
say in the matter.

Nearby Pinecrest of Lake Geneva, a home for the elderly,
does not seem to mind the possibility of outside seating. In fact, since the restaurant and bar has
opened a few months ago with many customers coming and going, the Pinecrest
residents have often sat outside to enjoy the music that flows from the
Saturday evening live music.
