Lower Density Development coalition makes offer for Hummel’s 710 acres of land

With the rezoning ordinance being delayed, the LDD hopes to purchase Hummel's land for environmentally friendly purposes

The Lower Density Development LLC has expressed interest in
purchasing the 710 acres of property owned by Robert Hummel of the
Mirbeau-Hummel development plan. Earlier
this month they sent a letter to Hummel with an offer of negotiation for the
property. However, their likelihood of
receiving an answer at this point seems slim, as Hummel is in the middle of the
debate on rezoning plans and the property is not for sale.

The Lower Density Development (LDD) is a coalition of local
landowners who have concerns about overdevelopment in the Lake Geneva WI area
that will impact the quiet beauty of the natural environment and cause traffic
congestion. With specific plans for the
710 acres which include these goals, LDD is hoping that Hummel will consider
their offer.
