Walworth County High School Seniors Help Raise Money for Lake Como’s Restoration project

The restoration of Lake Como is a cause the community supports

It seems that the whole community is invested in the
restoration efforts of Lake Como, as evidenced by a recent fundraiser given by
some local high school seniors. A Badger
High School senior Rory Letteney took the lead in organizing and executing a
fundraising dinner as a senior project to help with Lake Como’s restoration
efforts. The dinner raised about $1,000,
which is more than Letteney expected, and reflected the community’s desire to
help with the cause.

The restoration of Lake Como begun this year with a small
645 feet of shore to begin with and it is expected to cost $61,000 to complete
in full; nevertheless, the fundraising efforts of the community will help drive
the project forward.
